The role of the tutor is to support the student’s integration into the Haaga-Helia student community, to facilitate the grouping process, to support the student in his\/her studies and to refer the student to the services of the university. New students can turn to the peer tutors for all matters related to school and studies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tutors are selected on the basis of an application and an interview. Criteria for a good tutor includes teamwork skills, activeness, time management skills, persuasiveness, flexibility, and presentation skills. <\/span>All appropriate applicants will receive an invitation for an interview, containing the following information: time and place of the interview and who will be the interviewer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
<\/span>New tutors participate in afternoon training and a training day. Afternoon training is organized 1.4 in English and 3.4 in Finnish and 5.4 is a training day for all the chosen tutors. Helga organizes this tutor training with the help of Head Tutors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
