The Board of Haaga-Helia Student Union Helga has appointed Tekla Kosonen as Helga\u2019s new Executive Director. Tekla will begin in her position in September. Tekla is a soon-to-be-graduated Community Educator and has previously worked as a Project Manager at SAMOK and as a Community Coordinator at Specia \u2013 Experts and managerial professionals .<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHelga is clearly entering a new chapter, and I couldn\u2019t be happier with the team that will be writing it. With Tekla\u2019s fresh energy and determined approach, I know that Helga\u2019s future is in capable hands.\u201d says Otso Muhonen, Chair of the Board.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Executive Director\u2019s responsibilities are diverse, but most importantly, Tekla will be responsible for Helga\u2019s strategic leadership, operations, and development.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am extremely grateful for the trust placed in me! It is exciting to take on such a diverse field of responsibilities and to have the opportunity to work with a skilled and knowledgeable team. At the same time, I will have the opportunity to grow as a leader and develop as part of Helga. I\u2019m looking forward to everything the role of Executive Director will bring.\u201d comments the newly appointed Executive Director.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tekla will officially begin her role on the 15th of September 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n
