Camilla Relander appointed Helga’s advocacy and partnerships specialist

The board of the Haaga-Helia student union Helga has chosen Camilla Relander as Helga’s advocacy and partnerships specialist at its meeting. Camilla is a soon-to-be-graduated Bachelor of Business Administration specializing in legal expertise and a student of political science from the University of Helsinki. Camilla has previously worked as an organizational planner and regional coordinator in politics.

“I am excited to finally be able to talk about our new advocacy and partnerships specialist, as I have been asked about this throughout the summer and we are finally able to announce Camilla’s start in the role. Advocacy is one of Helga’s core tasks and Camilla fills the role perfectly. I look forward to our cooperation, as I know that Helga’s advocacy and partnerships are in capable hands.” Says the chairperson of the board, Otso Muhonen.

Camilla has been hired to be responsible for Helga’s advocacy work both within Haaga-Helia and more broadly in the Helsinki metropolitan area, and to strengthen cooperation with Helga’s partners.

“I am very happy and motivated to take on the role of advocacy and partnerships specialist. It is great to be able to work on student advocacy issues and bring the expertise I have acquired in politics to Helga’s advocacy work. I want to ensure that the voice of our student community is heard strongly at different levels of advocacy and together we will make Helga an even more influential student union,” commented the newly elected specialist.

Camilla started her work on 18.8.2026.
