The General Assembly of Finnish Student Sports Federation – FSSF gathered in an online meeting during these unusual times on 18th and 19th of October 2020. The vice-chairperson of the Helga board Julia Tuuri was elected as a chairperson of FSSF’s board. Julia is the second chairperson with a background from Helga during the history of SFFS.
“I’m honored about the opportunity to be the first chairperson with a UAS background in five years. A half-year-long campaign, together with my team produced a result which was not in any way to be taken for granted. My home organisation and undeniable support pillar, student union Helga, has given me excellent tools for the challenges of the coming year and I look forward to what next year will bring when it comes. I would especially like to thank my campaign team and the federation for their trust, ”Julia Tuuri commented after her election.
Jorma Alastalo (TREY – Student Union of Tampere University) and Essi Lumme (Student Union of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences) was elected as Vice Presidents of FSSF. Other members of the FSSF board in 2021 is Anna Salo (Zone Sport Services).
In addition, Helga’s specialist Tea Sissonen received an award from FSSF for meritorious work in front of student sports.
